Jane Walters has been successfully running the RDG Youth Workshop for several years. The format is usually a series of Sunday afternoon drama workshops, leading towards an entry in the two One Act Drama Festivals in October.

In the past, the Youth Workshop, consisting of young people from around the ages of 10 - 21, have had much success at these festivals, gaining high praise for the emsemble work of the performances and being awarded many trophies. See the entries under 'Interview', 'The Pilgrimage' and 'Find Me'.

This year, a new and exciting venture sees the Workshop members developing their own script through the workshop sessions. The theme is communication, or lack of it, through the modern methods of mobile phones, texting and chat rooms. The script is developing all the time and the cast are looking forward to rehearsing the play towards a performance at Woking Drama Festival and in the Spelthorne & Runnymede Drama Festival during the first three weeks of October 2010.
